Celestino Piatti

Celestino Piatti was an internationally renowned Swiss graphic artist and illustrator. Over his long career, Piatti designed over 500 award-winning posters, established the visual identity and designed covers for over 6,300 publications for influential German publisher Deutscher Taschenbuch Verlag, and created illustrations for many beloved children's books. Piatti's simple yet detailed black and white graphic style featuring vivid splashes of color had wide appeal and helped shape design aesthetics for decades. He is still admired today for his skill in distilling complex ideas into memorable graphic symbols.
